3D Motorcycle Training, in conjunction with Sue Richards, SLR Training Services, are looking to put on a Motorcycle First Aid Course to be completed over a couple of Wednesday evenings somewhere local in Harrogate.

Will need to have a minimum of 12 people to attend to make it viable but the more the merrier!

Once we have numbers will be able to work out a specific cost

The course will be certificated and is a Level 2 Emergency First Aid at Work Certificate under Ofqual Regulations and valid for 3 years.
And we maybe able to add a little something in with it if numbers are good.

Please email me 3dbiketraining@gmail.com or message through facebook if interested

HAB Weekday Ride Out – Wednesday January 13th.

There’ll be a shortish ride out this Wednesday, hopefully to Rosedale for a light lunch. The weather looks reasonable – cold, but dry with some sunshine.

Meet at Morrisons car park in Boroughbridge for a 10.00am start.

Hope to see a good few people there. My bike’s in for service that morning so I’ll be on a loan bike. Should get to Boroughbridge in plenty of time but if I’m a few minutes late, please wait!

‘Touring Abroad’ is the theme for our January 2016 Club Meeting

Don’t miss our first get-together of the new year at Bilton Cricket Club, Monday January 11, 7.30pm.

We have two ‘inhouse’ speakers this month:
Andrew Pratt will talk about ‘Europe for Beginners’ and Mike Fourie on ‘Biking in South Africa’.

If you’re thinking of taking the bike abroad this year and particularly if you are new to this kind of thing (and even if you’re not!), you’ll find a lot of useful tips here to educate and probably amuse you too.

Let’s get 2016 off to a rousing start and give Andrew and Mike a great reception.

*** HAB DINNER – SATURDAY 23rd JANUARY ***

A reminder that we still have a few places vacant for our annual dinner at the St. George Hotel, Harrogate later this month. If you’ve not already got your name down, there’s still time: Drop Mike a line at mike.fourie38@gmail.com or speak to one of us on Monday evening.
(Menu below).

HAB Seasonal Dinner – Saturday, 23rd January 2016 (aka The ‘Not the Christmas Dinner’)

This is advanced notice of the annual HAB dinner date to go in your 2016 diaries!

Mike Fourie has arranged a change of venue this year to the St. George Hotel in Harrogate, 7.30 for 8.00pm on Saturday 23rd January.

The cost for the 3 course dinner plus coffee and mints will be £20 per head (including gratuities).

Copies of the menu will be available for our 14th December Quiz Meeting at Bilton Cricket Club. If you’re not able to make this meeting however, menu details will be sent to you automatically.

We will need to advise the hotel of numbers promptly so please confirm direct to Mike as soon as possible:

Weekday Ride Out and CHRISTMAS LUNCH, Wednesday 9th December 2015

The December mid-week Ride Out will be to The Bay Horse in Great Broughton, near Stokesley for Christmas lunch.

Apart from excellent food, the Bay Horse is relatively close so we can shorten the ride if the weather is poor or, dare I say it, go by car if weather really bad (or you just don’t want to get your bike filthy!).

The pub insists on pre-booking for their Christmas lunch and a deposit of £5 per person together with menu selection is required – see menu below.

Please let me know by 15th November, together with your menu selection. That will give me time to make sure we can get a table.

Note this is nothing to do with the main HAB annual dinner in January, details of which will be posted to the website shortly.
