I rode the route yesterday and discovered that an existing road closure necessitates a substantial diversion. The closure is at Sykes on the Trough of Bowland Pass, which is the only road crossing the Trough. To avoid it, we need to head north from Oakenclough towards Quernmore and Caton, then east through Wray before heading south through the Forest of Bowland to Slaidburn. This diversion adds approximately 19 miles to the route.
The location of the closure can be found using the following link:

The revised route is available via the following MyRoute-app link:

The route GPX file and MyRoute link has also been changed in the original HAB website and Facebook posts.
I estimate that we will now finish in Ilkley at around 4pm. However, our final brew stop will be at the Abbey Tea Rooms in Bolton Bridge, which we should reach at approximately 3.15 pm. Members who prefer to head home from there can take the A59, rather than continuing with the group to Ilkley.
The weather forecast for Sunday is good. Mostly sunny with low winds. Hopefully you can make it on the day.
