FOR SALE: 2004 Kawasaki ZX6R B1H
HAB Member Lee Edwards is selling his Kawasaki; here are the details:
This is a great bike and has been a lot of fun to own, it’s time for a change though so sadly it has to go.
This bike was introduced by Kawasaki as a real racer on the road and it doesn’t disappoint – great handling and engine that just keeps going.
Here’s a list of extra’s added to this bike:
– Datatool System 3 Alarm
– Petal Brake Discs
– Braided Brake Lines
– Renthal Sprockets
– R&G Protection all-round (Bungs, Bar-Ends, Front Spindle, Rear Bobbins)
– Stubby Viper Exhaust (with baffle)
– Maxton Spring
– Double-Bubble Black Screen
– Stompgrips
– Tail Tidy
– LED Indicators
– Wired for Optimate
In the 2 years I’ve owned it the bike has had 3 services, the last being in June 2014, unfortunately the service book didn’t come with the bike but I have some receipts from the previous owner and receipts of the work I’ve had done.
In addition to the services I have had new chain and sprockets and the cam chain replaced last year and fitted new brake discs, pads, braided lines and fluids this year.
The Mot runs up to May 2015 and its taxed until the end of Feb 2015 and the bike has done 22,130 miles.
Unfortunately I had a slip on the bike in May so the bike has a scuff on the side fairing, a small mark on the seat unit and a small scuff on the exhaust can. Luckily the R&G Protection kept the damage to a minimum (the damaged R&G parts have all been replaced). There is also a small crack on the nose fairing where the previous owner has over-tightened a screen bolt. All these are easily repaired or lived with – I chose the latter.
Supplied with the bike will be the original standard exhaust, a seat cowl and a Haynes manual.
Asking price is £2700 ono
If you wish to come and view the bike then please drop me a line to lee@led-design.com or call 0790 992 0887

From Russia With Love
Those of you who were at the HAB meeting last November, when Paul Mercer told the story of his epic journey through the former Soviet states, will no doubt be interested in this link to Paul’s new adventure blog.
Paul is now just over a week into his 15,000 mile round trip for four people travelling across Europe and Russia, into Mongolia, then back into Siberia, round the west side of Lake Baikal then east along the infamous BAM road, ending eventually at Vladivostok, Russia’s most eastern port. From there, Paul and friends hope to get themselves and their bikes on the Trans-Siberian-Railway back to Moscow before riding home through Europe.
You can follow the trip daily from the link below:
