HAB Monday 17th Evening Ride-in to Bilton Cricket Club

Following on from Andrew Pratt’s splendid Sunday Ride. A Ride-in to Bilton Cricket Club for a what will probably be a social meeting this Monday evening.

Meeting in the Main Street in Ripley, from 6.00pm and setting off at 6.15pm. An anticlockwise trip up Scarah Bank through Sawley, Risplith and Grantley up to Kirkby Malzeard. Turning south, towards Laverton, then Blazefield and eastwards on the Brimham Rocks Road to Burnt Yates. Then via Clint Bank, Hampsthwaite and onto the cricket club for 7.15pm. A GPX file is available via email barrya.ring@gmail.com.

Mileage is only 31. It should take just an hour. The weather forecast is good, if you can make the timings, there aren’t any excuses, so hoping to see a good turnout for the ride at Ripley and our club meet.

Scottish 6 Day Trial

I am planning my annual camping trip to the Scottish 6 day Trial, leaving home Saturday 29th April to Wednesday 3rd May. It’s about 1000 miles in total including the ride to Fort William & back, along with a trip round the Ardnamurchan peninsula and possibly ride to Oban. We will spend some time watching the trial at various stages in the surrounding area.

Great roads and scenery. Weather can be unpredictable (sunburn to frost). I will be staying at a nice camp site on the banks of Loch Leven. It’s not an expensive trip but good fun. I am happy to take up to another 4 people with me please get in touch if you fancy it. 07 720 29 40 31.
