Dear Members,

At the meeting on Monday the 13th October, we are hosting two guest speakers, both researchers in road safety at Leeds University.

Dr Jac Billington, Associate Professor in Perceptual Neuroscience, Deputy Head of School and Athena Swan Lead, School of Psychology, University of Leeds.

İbrahim Öztürk, PhD, Institute for Transport Studies, University of Leeds.

The subject is Perceptual Science, which is how we, as riders and drivers, see and react to hazards. I have been told by someone who has attended it before that it is an absolutely fascinating talk and many facets of it will probably surprise you. Essential information for all HAB members and especially new Associates.

As we have two guests making the effort to travel from Leeds, I would be very pleased to see as many of you there as possible. Please do make every effort.
