Dear Members,

As you are already aware, three new committee members were elected at the recent AGM and Pete McNulty has stood down as Secretary, after several years of serving the group so ably and admirably.

Unfortunately, this position has not yet been filled, but Paul Dresser has very kindly offered to be a caretaker secretary until we can recruit someone on a more permanent basis. This gives him two areas of responsibility, Treasurer and Secretary, which is not an ideal situation and isn’t compliant with IAM guidelines. Therefore the committee is asking for a member who is willing to serve the Group in this post to come forward to take on this role. 

The Secretary role involves administrative tasks, including managing membership records, organising meetings, and ensuring smooth group operations. This isn’t overly onerous and is sporadic as and when needed. Plenty of help to get started and ongoing assistance will be available. If you feel that you would be willing please feel free to come and discuss it before making a final decision.
