Though that from Sedburgh, going A684, A6 (Kendal) A591, A590 might be of more interest than motorway. Also option of fuel at Morrisons in Kendal. Just a thought. Might actually be able to make this one, but would need to meet up on route (say at Hawes or Sedburgh)
Understand your point Paul but I thought that seeing as this is a long trip and we intend to spend 2hrs at the museum we need to get there asap after the coffee stop at Hawes.
I have planned a fuel stop soon after the museum on the return assuming all the bikes will do 100 miles on a tankful.
I should be able to get to this one, can I just confirm given Pauls post, and the excellent roads to / from the destination that we are not using Motorways?
I spend the week on them, and need a change at weekends!

Having spoken to John B I can confirm there’s only about 8 miles of motorway (i.e. M6 jct 37 to 36). Overall it’s a great mix of roads and scenery!

Please see my comment above re reason for route.
