Monday 14th September Evening Ride Out

Hi All

In the absence of our late summer evening meeting a quick run out from Harrogate to firm favourite The Wetherby Whaler, Guiseley is planned for Monday evening. To make the most of the available daylight the meeting time at Dragon Road Lorry Park Harrogate is from 18.00 with a set off time at 18.30.

A short ride with a mixture of terrain. Setting off from Dragon Road via Beckwithshaw, Fewston and on to the A59 at Blubberhouses, down to Beamsley and up over Howber Hill to Ilkley. Up past the Cow & Calf , Menston, Hawksworth and into Guiseley for our well deserved fish & chips!

The weather forecast for Monday is good so make the most of the late summer with this final evening ride out.*

I hope you can make it. Please get in touch with Barry on 07847 786608 to book one of the six available spaces*.

*Subject to demand another run can also be arranged on a different evening next week. Please ask.

Upcoming HAB Ride Outs

Hi All

I hope most of you have had a chance to get out on one of the recent HAB ride outs. Thanks very much to all the ride leaders and tail end Charlies for their hard work.

As I’m sure you are aware the current limit set by the IAM for group ride out numbers have to be kept to six or less. We have had requests for ride leader’s contact details to be published once the ride is decided in an effort to give everyone an equal chance of booking a space. HAB members can view the event calendar on the website where details of the rides are published and will now include a telephone number to ring or text to book as soon as the leader is confirmed.

http://www.harrogateadvancedbikes.co.uk/event-calendar/

We have had a great response with ride leaders readily coming forward since the Covid-19 lockdown has eased. Hopefully we can continue to put on additional rides or groups over a weekend and will happily consider new rides/ideas/alternative weekends and encourage new leaders (full HAB members) to copy the route or lead their own alternative rides on the same day. GPX files can be shared for your Garmin or Tom-tom satnav units.

Thanks

Monday 10th August Evening Ride Out

Six riders only as per the new normal. Please contact Enzo on 07551 405996.

If we have an overflow of demand another evening ride can be organised. Please contact Barry on 07847786608.
