It’s that fun time of the year again! Harrogate Advanced Bikes annual Christmas Quiz. Get your team together for a night of questions you could, and should, know the answers to. Form a team of three on the night with the chance of an exotic prize!
This year, as ever, Quiz Master Doug Masterton will test us again with a well prepared list of awkward questions, games and other challenges. Working together pool your knowledge and pit your wits against former HAB chairman Doug, and opposing teams for top place.
Friends and partners are welcome, so bring along your biking mates too and make it a great evening. Our last chance for a club social evening this year and as usual a splendid buffet will be provided by Bilton Cricket Club.
Meet at Bilton Cricket Club 7.00pm and get your team together for a 7.30pm start as usual.
Your club subscriptions for 2020 are due on the 1st January, at £15 per member. A new section of the site has been added called Biker News. This is a section where articles from members can be published. These can include tips and tricks, bike and gear reviews, trips you’ve taken or places you have found of interest.
To start we have published the first couple of articles. The first being an article by Andrew Pratt about riding through Andalusia called ‘Your Next Great Ride’, and the second by Bob Hill on Motorcycle Steering control.
We will send a post out every time a new article is published however you can access these from the main menu of the website under Biker News.
Any feedback on the content will be very much appreciated.
I’m sure most of you are fed up with receiving multiple posts so you will be glad to know that on December 20th we will be turning off our old subscriber list.
About 2/3 of our membership have signed up to the new system which is great but if you haven’t please feel free to go to our website www.harrogateadvancedbikes.co.uk and sign up to the newsletter and blogs in the right-hand column.
This Wednesday’s Ride Out includes the Christmas lunch organised by David Haywood and is fully booked for lunch. He will have sent or will be sending out a reminder to HAB members who previously reserved a place.
We’re meeting at Ripley 9am for a 9.30 start and David will be leading a route similar to the year before last in his usual flowing style, no doubt.
This of course replaces the usual Wednesday December Ride.
